Overnight trips, sailing, cooking, sleeping on board and much, much more !

Whether you have a few weeks or a few days, come and experience the joy of living aboard Voyager.

Life on Board

About 70 miles west of Rio lies a sailor’s paradise, Ilha Grande Bay. This area offers spectacular scenery and crystal clear water for an unforgettable sailing holiday. With many islands to explore and a choice of cooking aboard or sampling typical Brazilian food cooked in local restaurants, the choices are endless. A typical day could include a lazy breakfast on board, then exploring a new beach for a swim and snorkeling.

After an afternoon sail to another island, we’ll drop anchor and enjoy a sunset barbecue on deck. That night, you may decide to sleep on deck and watch the falling stars, in the southern hemisphere constellation. After being rocked to sleep by the gentle motion of the sea, you are sure to wake refreshed and ready for another day in paradise.

Overnight accommodation can be arranged in a hotel on shore if you prefer.

Diving

Ilha Grande Bay has some of the clearest water in southern Brazil. Scuba equipment can be rented and Voyager has snorkeling equipment on board.

Hiking

The island of Ilha Grande offers many hiking trails connecting one deserted beach to the other. This is a unique way to experience this tropical paradise with many exotic birds and vegetation. Voyager will monitor your progress, by VHF radio, and will always be close by, to pick you up, when you call.

The May 1995 issue of Yachting Magazine has an article by Emily Paulsen about sailing in Ilha Grande Bay, on the yacht Voyager with Captain Heitor
